Department of Horticulture

The department has well qualified teaching and non-teaching staff, well equipped labs and well established different horticultural plants varieties with in campus premises to provide practical training in different aspects to Horticulture students. The Horticulture farm is having fruit orchards with well known variety and the Hi-Tech Horticulture structures viz. Greenhouse and Shade-net house for protected cultivation of horticulture crops. The commercial cultivation of vegetables under open climate is also carried out by Experiential Learning student’s .Till date, the section is a premier division of college for hands on training of VIII Semester of Greenhouse technology. After acquiring hands on training, the students have great scope in Greenhouse industry as an entrepreneur. The Horticulture section also equipped with Post Harvest Management and Value Addition of fruits and vegetables Laboratory.
